Pet Portraits and Bespoke Artwork by Pink Couch.

This is the first blog post for a little while and we are talking artwork. Did you know that Pink Couch offers a bespoke artwork service? If you have some wall space in need of a statement piece or if you have something in mind but you haven’t been able to find anything, then I'd love to have a chat about your ideas and requirements. The main technique that I use is free motion machine embroidery, where I draw my designs using straight sewing machine stitches, totally freehand. The style of my work unique to me and one that I have perfected over several years, offering a more illustrative, sketched look in comparison to the tradition styles of machine embroidery.

In particular, I specialise in Pet Portraits, created using your favourite images of your furry friends. Prices, sizes and turnaround times for the pieces vary as each pet is different, but once I have seen some images of your pet, we can discuss options and find one that works best for you. You can have two pets on the same canvas, even if you don’t have a photo of them together. After the portrait is drawn and coloured in stitch, it is finished by being stretched over a canvas frame, making them easy to hang straight away.

Below are some examples of past portraits, Finley, Beanie and a joint portrait of Red and Tom, where you will see how your personal snaps can become a unique piece of art. I always receive great feedback from customers and I love being part of creating this special type of artwork for you. You can also view more examples on the gallery page and Instagram.

If you are interested in commissioning a Pet Portrait or piece of bespoke art, please send me an email at and I will get back to you with your free, no obligation quote.
